The Thorold re-opened in late 2019 as a community owned Pub and Restaurant, following extensive stylish refurbishment. We now also have a village shop, and two elegant guest rooms.
Our restaurant has gained a reputation for quality food, often using locally sourced produce – and happily, this has been recognised by a Restaurant Guru award in both 2020 and 2021, as well as a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award in 2021.
The two bedrooms are decorated in modern hues and fitted out with king-size beds, stylish furniture, TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. Their modern en-suites feature walk-in showers and toiletries are supplied. Breakfast is included in the cost.
Marston is an attractive village, one mile from the A1 north of Grantham and makes an ideal touring base for discovering the many local attractions. The Viking Way long distance footpath passes through the village, making the village a popular stopover for walkers and cyclists, as well as drivers on the Great North Road.
