The Museum of Lincolnshire Life’s rich and varied social history collection reflects and celebrates Lincolnshire’s culture and its people from 1750 to the present day. Exhibits illustrate commercial, domestic, agricultural, industrial and community life.
As the home to an authentic World War One tank named “Daphne”, the museum also houses the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment’s interactive galleries, which have won prestigious national awards. Perhaps you can find information about family members who served here?
The Museum of Lincolnshire Life offers a wide range of services, including exhibitions in a community gallery, group quiz sessions and an education program linked to the National Curriculum.
The museum is fully accessible, and staff are trained and ready to assist with your visit. The museum has a wheelchair and a magnifying glass available for loan, free of charge, and assistance dogs are welcome.
A variety of audio-visual aids and interpretations are available throughout the museum. There are automatic doors throughout the museum to each exhibition.
Self-led groups tours are free (booking for large groups is advised), but staff-led tours of the museum are available at £3 per person fee (maximum fee £30, booking essential).
