Gallery Forty5 is a relative newcomer to the arts and crafts scene in Northumberland.
Housed in a former village pub, the building was taken over by Jane Hunt and Mary Mewett in September 2013. After major renovations the space was transformed into an exciting arts centre.
Comprising of two gallery and exhibition spaces, a gift shop with a cosy, fireside seating area where cake and coffee are served. Also on site are 6 artists’ studios, currently occupied by a variety of designers, makers and artists. The exhibitions spaces are also available for hire and are perfect for parties, celebrations, corporate meetings and many other types of events.
Gallery Forty5 also runs a programme of creative activities throughout the year, including painting, sewing and printing workshops and classes. We also hold music concerts in our beautiful Long Room. Many of the resident artists also run workshops from their studios, so if you are interested in art and creativity – there’s plenty to see.
