Belvoir Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland and the family have lived there in an unbroken line for almost a thousand years.
Its turrets and towers rise over the Vale of Belvoir like an illustration in a fairytale. Due to the Castle being home to the Rutland Family it is only open on selected days throughout the year (see our website). Belvoir has many rooms to view, with history interwoven into the very fabric of the building.
The Tea Room in the castle offers a selection of sandwiches, home-made cakes & scones. Wonderful themed gardens delight our visitors. We hold renowned annual festivals and events within the grounds and you can shop in delight at The Engine Yard retail village, located opposite our car park.
